Costa Adeje is one of the best tourism place of Tenerife where you can spend a long holiday.
Costa Adeje is an extension of Playa de las Americas, but the two are so melded together that you can hardly see the join. The area just north of the harbour of Puerto Colon is newer and less frenetic than its neighbour, has a good share of restaurants and bars, and plenty of shopping centres.
For a break from the bustle of the coast, head up to Adeje, a pleasant hillside town with narrow, tree-lined roads and outdoor cafes and bars. Just behind the town is an exciting track that leads past prickly pears and candelabra cacti to Barranco del Infierno. Bus no 416 from Playa de las Americas drops you right in the main square of Adeje. Walkers should note that it takes an hour to reach the waterfalls at Barranco del Infierno and another hour to get back. Some parts are quite steep, so wear sturdy shoes.
What you can do in Tenerife?
Boat trips and watersports
Don’t miss a chance to spot whales and dolphins while you are at Playa de las Americas. You can also watch marine life on a glass-bottom boat, or try scuba diving for an undersea adventure.
BEACHES
There is no shortage of things to do, from windsurfing to scuba diving, on the newer beaches of San Eugenio,Torviscas and Fanabe, which are marketed as Costa Adeje. The long stretch of seafront between Puerto Colon and Playa Fanabe is protected by artificial breakwaters and topped up with a regular tonic of extra sand. Most exclusive is the beach below the Hotel Bahia del Duque, which can be found at the far north of the resort.
Golf Costa Adeje
For those who want to exercise their swing, there is a 27-hole golf course in the hills above Costa Adeje. There are two restaurants and a bar, and regular golfing and musical events take place.
